About Valleyview Elementary

Welcome to Valleyview Elementary

Established in 1991, Valleyview is located in the South Lakeland area known as “The Highlands.” Our beautiful campus has gentle slopes, elegant pines and beautiful oaks. Valleyview strives to meet the needs of all students. We serve grades kindergarten through 5th, and have added two VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) classes. We have maintained a grade of “A” as rated by the State of Florida since the inception of the program thirteen years ago. In the fall of 2009, Valleyview initiated a dedicated science lab where students will explore, investigate and experience the “big ideas” in science. Valleyview showcases full-time art and music programs, as well as strings lessons for 5th graders. There are 2 computer labs, a computerized media center and a TV production studio. Various clubs are also offered after school.

Our Mission:

Our mission at Valleyview Elementary is to create a caring environment where students, parents, and staff eagerly combine their knowledge, abilities, and resources toward enhancing self-confidence, promoting critical and cognitive thinking, developing healthy minds and bodies, and creating independent lifelong learners who have respect for themselves, others, and the world around them.
